 SCHOOL RUN CHANGES FOR 2018

It has been necessary to introduce three new school runs for 2018. There have been some changes to existing runs to accommodate these new services but the overall goal is to see that our School Runs are not overloaded. Below is an outline of the changes; however you can click on the "Logan School Services" tab to see the details and times of each run. If you have any doubt as to what number bus run you are on (2018) use the link below or you can contact our office the week prior to the start of Term 1, 2018.  The new runs for Beaudesert students are also available now by clicking the appropriate tab.

Trinity College / St Joseph Primary

Runs 22 & 33 have been changed to even out the loading and get better area coverage for Trinity and St Joseph's Primary Students. Runs 22 & 33 will overlap Runs 14 & 16 but where they do, the Trinity and St Joseph students should be on the dedicated Trinity/St Joseph services (22 & 33), which will alleviate any overloading of the Windaroo Runs.

Run 22 will complete a loop west of Tamborine-Waterford Rd and then into Yarrabilba. It will then loop through Pioneer Dr and down to Pineview Rd before returning along Steele Rd. It then turns right into Miller Rd and around through the Aspect onto Hein Rd. Then along Buccan Rd, Dairy Creek Rd and the Sharton Ave loop before heading directly to the College. Any Trinity or St Joseph students on or around Ridgevale Blvd and Peppertree Dr will still catch Run 14.

Run 33 will commence its run from Jimboomba and travels its' normal route through to Logan Village. It then proceeds along Waterford-Tamborine Rd and does the Weaber Rd loop before heading up Dairy Creek Rd. It will turn left off Dairy Creek Rd into Grand Tce, through to Jarvis Rd and then past Canterbury College to High Rd before heading to Beenleigh.

Any students for St Josephs or Trinity students who don't have access to either 22 or 33 will catch one of the Windaroo buses, as in 2017

Canterbury College

Run 27 will depart the Beaudesert ANZ Bank Bus Stop at 7:15am and proceed as normal to Camp Cable Rd. It will then travel through Hotz Rd, Bobermein Rd and Stockleigh Rd to the Logan Village Bus Stop (BP) before proceeding directly to the college.

Run 1 will travel its normal route but will no longer be collecting Canterbury students from Yarrabilba, these students will now be travelling on Run 36. The primary purpose of Run 1 is to carry Canterbury College and Waterford State School students and collect students for Jimboomba SS, St Francis College, Waterford West SS, Loganlea SHS, Emmaus College, Hills College and Flagstone College before transferring them at the defined interchange points, as before.

Transfers to runs 18 & 24 will take place at the Darlington Park Bus Stop in Yarrabilba; all other transfers will be completed at Canterbury College. Any St Francis or Marsden students will change onto run 6, Waterford West and Loganlea SHS students onto run 10 and Run 1 will collect all Waterford SS students from runs 10 & 6.

Run 10 will travel west via Towns Ave, Stockleigh Rd, Maryland Rd, Camp Cable and Hotz Rd before completing an eastern loop of Logan Village. It then travels via Stegemann Rd, Hein Rd, Buccan Rd, Wilson Rd and Dairy Creek Rd to Canterbury College and then onto Waterford West SS and Loganlea SHS. Its primary purpose is to deliver students to Canterbury College, Waterford West SS and Loganlea SHS; however it will also carry transfers for Waterford SS, Marsden SS, Marsden SHS and St Francis College if required. This is an additional service which should alleviate any overcrowding of Runs 1 & 6.

Run 36 is a new service that will collect only Canterbury College students from Yarrabilba and the Logan Village Bus Stop (BP) before running express to Canterbury College, arriving at 7:55am. It will then travel via Easterly St and Jarvis Rd to Grand Tce where it will collect students for direct transfer to Canterbury College and Waterford SS. It will also collect students for Waterford West SS, Loganlea SHS, Marsden SS, Marsden SHS and St Francis College who will be transferred to runs 6 & 10 at Canterbury College.

In the afternoon Run 36 will start at Waterford SS and then deliver those students along Jarvis Rd, Grand Tce and Dairy Creek Rd before heading into Canterbury College to collect all the Yarrabilba students. Any Canterbury students or transferring students from run 10, going to Jarvis Rd or Grand Tce are to catch Run 6 in the afternoons. Any transferring students from St Francis College, Marsden SS or Marsden SHS going to Jarvis Rd or Grand Tce are to stay on run 6.

Runs 29, 30, 31 & 32 (Contracted Services)

These services will operate as they did in 2017.

Windaroo, Mt Warren Park and Beenleigh Services

Run 35 is a new run from Yarrabilba to the Windaroo - Beenleigh schools, but will not be transporting any Trinity or St Joseph's Primary students. Run 17 will no longer enter Yarrabilba and its run will now commence from Dollarbird Dr, Tamborine. Any students from Yarrabilba transferring to B4 will now go onto run 2 or 25. There are currently 63 registered students who travel on run 17 from Yarrabilba, so not having these students on run 17 will free up enough capacity for it to easily accommodate the students from Belivah and Bannockburn. This should also mean runs 15 and 28 can operate as normal without covering any additional passengers from Belivah.

It should be impressed upon all drivers that no students are to be dropped at the bus shelter opposite the BP, Logan Village. We were asked by Logan City Council not to use this stop as there is no pedestrian crossing available and it is not safe for children to cross with the additional traffic generated by the Yarrabilba development. The problem will be addressed as the roadworks continue but meanwhile we are to loop up North St, left into River St and left into Wharf Rd, back onto Waterford-Tamborine Rd and then drop at the BP Bus Stop. This will be the case until further notice.

Marsden SS and Marsden SHS Yarrabilba Service.

Run 34 is a service designed to accommodate the earlier start and finish times for the High School and alleviate the overcrowding of runs1 & 6. This service will operate as per 2017.
